Lake Forest Church- Cabarrus, coming in 2025!

We’re thrilled to announce that in 2025, Lake Forest Church will be planting its newest Family of Churches in Cabarrus County, expanding our mission to reach ONE MORE person in our region. This exciting new chapter will be led by Andy Cornett, who will serve as the Lead Pastor.

Andy and his wife, Robin’s journey has been one of deep faith and a heart for ministry. They met at Wheaton College, got married, and moved to a small church in eastern North Carolina, where Andy began his work in student ministry. That experience led them to Fuller Seminary, where they deepened their theological training, followed by more student ministry in Fort Myers, FL. Eventually, they moved to Chattanooga, TN, where Andy served in pastoral ministry before joining us at Lake Forest Church. Robin works remotely as a WordPress Developer, and together they have three amazing kids, all in their early 20s.

When it comes to their passions, Andy and Robin love spending time with people, cooking (and eating), reading books, and exploring the outdoors. Andy is especially known for running—he’ll hit the trail at the drop of a hat!

We believe that God has had His hand in bringing Andy and Robin to Lake Forest Church, and we’re excited to see how He will use Andy to build His church in Cabarrus County starting in 2025!

Andy’s greatest passion is to help people become life-long followers of Jesus who shine brightly in this world. He loves guiding individuals to discover Jesus as the author of their spiritual journey and helping them connect their everyday lives and work to God’s glorious purpose. For Andy, following Jesus is always an adventure—and never a waste.

Please join us in praying for Andy, Robin, and their family, as they prepare for this exciting new journey. We can’t wait to see how God will move in Cabarrus County through this new church plant!
