Below is a snapshot of the serving opportunities available at Lake Forest Church-Huntersville. You can find opportunities to SHARE in Davidson at the Information Center on that campus.
We hope you find that as you share yourself within one of these ministries, you get a whole bunch more back through relationships with others and with God. Pick up a Share Card in the Information Center to get started on serving or shoot an email to the team leaders.
First Contact
Be a part of our first impression as y
ou help direct traffic in the parking, greet our guests, serve at the coffee bar, answer questions in the Info center and help people find seats in the worship center. Your smile and assistance will go a long way in making guests feel welcome at Lake Forest.
If you like meeting and talking to people and have a helpful attitude, this is a great place to share your gifts.Email Suzanne Powell for more information.
Children’s Ministry (Babies-Fifth Grade)
Join our Children’s Ministry team in providing a nurturing and dynamic environment to learn about and experience God in our Early Childhood and Elementary programs. There’s opportunity to greet and check-in families, lead small groups, provide technical support, sing, act, or create as you partner with parents on the spiritual growth of their children. Download a HERO Card, which lists all of our available opportunities.
If you have a heart for leading children and are eager to share God’s lessons and love, we hope you will consider a role in Kidtropolis. Email children@lakeforest.org for more information.
Student Ministry (6th-12th Grade)
Join the team that’s inspiring students to connect with Christ, own their faith and impact their world. As a leader for our middle or high school small groups, you can provide support and encouragement for students and their families as they navigate the teenage years. Our leaders form relationships with small groups, organize and attend special concerts and events and keep in contact with students throughout the week.
If you have an open mind and an open heart and want to support kids and parents as they navigate the teenage years, email students@lakeforest.org for more information.
Worship and Creative Arts
Whether it’s behind-the-scenes or on stage with the band, sharing your creative talents glorifies God and helps Lake Forest provide a fresh and inspiring environment each week for worship.
Aesthetics
These team members will help creatively design our physical space and keep it fresh, simple and inviting through room design, lighting and other sensory additions.
Music (vocals and instruments)
If you were blessed with musical talents as a singer or instrumentalist and have a desire to share your gift by leading others in worship, we’d love to meet you and learn about your background.

The Home Team
At Lake Forest, the Home Team is the name of the serving ministry that works mainly behind-the-scenes to create a welcoming, informative and hospitable environment that supports our church mission to “Love people as they discover and live out their role in God’s story.” Within this ministry, you’ll find our church-wide production and tech team, our communications team and our campus operations team. In a nutshell, Home Team staff and volunteers (and by the way, our volunteers rock!) strive to give every new and old friend who interacts with Lake Forest Church a positive experience, while freeing up the “shepherds” within our body to focus on people, not operations.
