Welcome Davidson College Students!

Hey there.

Lake Forest Church – Davidson has been and continues to be a home for many Davidson students. Whether you are a spiritual seeker or a committed Christian, we hope that our church family encourages your spiritual, intellectual, and personal growth. Campus ministries also play an important role in this process, and students at LFC-D participate in a variety of organizations (e.g. RUF, Intervarsity, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Campus Outreach, Young Life, Westminster, and International Justice Mission).

As a church we recognize that your time is precious and that your primary responsibilities are on campus. Coursework, community service, being a good friend, student organizations, helping others grow spiritually, athletics, civic engagement, Patterson Court, and work study fight for limited schedule space. (I forgot to mention sleep – please remember to sleep.) Our church has no intention of encroaching too far on your free time. We encourage targeted involvement:

  • Primarily, worship with us on Sunday mornings at 635 South Street at either 9:30am or 11am. Many students walk, but let us know if you and your friends need a ride.
  • If you would like to take the next step, join a Share Team as a way to contribute your time to God’s work and to meet others at LFC-D. (Teams include worship, kids, youth, set up, pack up, greeters, audio, video, and prayer.) Tarah can help you find a good place to serve.
  • If you still want deeper integration into our church family, consider finding a home away from home. We will connect you with a family in the church so that you can enjoy occasional meals and outings (and other shenanigans) together. Contact Caleb to learn more.

Of course, if LFC-D is not the right church for you, be assured that we know of better churches and would love to help you find the right fit. I stand ready to serve you in any way I can and look forward to meeting you soon.

Privileged to grow alongside you,
MFlake
