What to Expect

What You Can Expect on Sundays

We want you to feel at home when you’re with us. So come as you are. As a first time guest, you won’t be singled out or asked to do anything embarrassing. We’ll be on hand to answer any questions you have but we’ll also respect your right to be left alone.

That said…we’d love to get to know you and know that you were with us for worship. So, if you don’t mind, please fill out the Contact Card you’ll receive when you come into service, or better yet, come find a pastor or staff member after service and say hello. Lake Forest can seem like a big place, but once you make one connection, it will seem a lot smaller.

Our worship service typically lasts 65 minutes. We strive to fill that time with compelling Biblical teaching, inspiring worship music and space for quiet reflection and prayer. Our hope is that you experience something from God during the service that stirs your soul to want more.

Bringing Your Children?

Children’s Ministry (babies-5th grade)
Offered during every worship service in Davidson, Huntersville and WestLake.
When children come to Lake Forest they are cared for by nurturing leaders and our goal is that they find a connection to God and friends within our large and small group environments. When you arrive, we’ll check your child in for our Early Childhood (babies-kindergarten) or Elementary (1st-5th grade) programs, get to know him or her and introduce you to the leaders they will be staying with during service.

Parents and kids receive matching identification tags so they stay connected. It’s good to arrive 5-10 minutes before service starts to make sure we can get you guys in and settled without feeling rushed. Learn more.

Youth Ministry (6th-12th grade)
On Sundays, our middle and high school students are encouraged to attend the worship services with their parents and/or friends but gather for weekly gatherings and special events.
