What We’re All About
At Lake Forest we welcome you to explore the meaning of life and the God who created all things. We work hard to foster a safe community for spiritual explorers and to be an encouraging partner for followers of Jesus Christ – to be a place for people who have given up on church but haven’t given up on God. Our mission is to love people as they discover and live out their role in God’s story. We believe the church is not a weekly gathering, a building or an institution. It is a living organism made of people who are banded together in our Jesus-mission of loving each other and loving the world.
During our Sunday services, we aspire–through the Scriptures, wide-open rock-worship AND reflective music, prayer, and other less predictable sources–to encounter God in a compelling yet sacred environment. And during the week we gather in smaller groups to encounter God by “doing life together.”
If you haven’t been to one of our services yet, we’d be honored if you would join us on a future Sunday. Let us know how we can help you in your journey – we’d love to be a part of your story.

Dr. Mike Moses

What You Can Expect
We want you to feel at home when you’re with us. So come as you are. As a first time guest, you won’t be singled out or asked to do anything embarrassing. We’ll be on hand to answer any questions you have but we’ll also respect your right to be left alone.
Our worship service typically lasts 65 minutes. We strive to fill that time with compelling Biblical teaching, inspiring worship music and space for quiet reflection and prayer. Our hope is that you experience something from God during the service that stirs your soul to want more.

Children’s Ministry (babies-5th grade)
When children come to Lake Forest they are cared for by nurturing leaders and find a connection to God and friends in large and small group environments. We’ll check your child in for our Nursery, Early Childhood or Elementary programs, get to know him or her and introduce you to the leaders they will be staying with during service. Parents and kids receive matching identification tags so they stay connected.
