Go with us as we serve the Christmas Village Toy Store
The Christmas Village Toy Store provides assistance for families in greater Charlotte who want to purchase affordable new toys for their children at Christmas. Rather than simply giving a handout of gifts to at-risk families, we believe in empowering them by providing an opportunity to purchase gifts at a deeply discounted rate. All profits from the store itself are then reinvested to feed the hungry in our community.
Lake Forest is joining Forest Hill Church and Warehouse 242 to serve families throughout Charlotte in this mission.
Lake Forest-Huntersville will serve as a host site for the store – to reach families on the North side of Charlotte – on Saturday, December 17. But before we can open the doors to guest shoppers, there is much to prepare!
GO FOR IT: Volunteer
Every aspect of the Christmas Village Toy Store is dependent on volunteers. There are a variety of ways for adults, students and children to get involved – from distributing Wish Lists, to collecting and pricing toys, to stocking the shelves, to warmly greeting our guest shoppers.
You can review opportunities and sign-up to serve and make a difference HERE.
Scroll down that page and you will see links/opportunities for “Lake Forest Church” and “North Christmas Village Toy Store…” – that’s where we need you. Thanks!
Please contact Teresa Chelko if you have any questions about volunteering.
GO FOR IT: Shop for Gifts
On November 27 and December 4, you will have the opportunity to pick up a Wish List at both of our campuses and then shop for gifts for a specified age and gender. We’ll collect these gifts on December 11.
