Executive Director: Huntington Green Initiative
I am humbled, blessed and thrilled to join Lake Forest Church as the Executive Director of the One More Neighborhood Initiative to the Huntington Green community. I have labeled this opportunity my “Dream Job” because I feel it combines so perfectly my work experiences over the years with my burning passion to serve the underprivileged, and it provides an awesome platform from which to model the love of Christ in both word and deed, working to build our Father’s Kingdom here on earth as it is in Heaven.
Background:
Born and raised in Youngstown, OH. Earned an Industrial Engineering degree from Youngstown State University and an M.B.A. from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I’ve held several senior management positions in the manufacturing sector, served as the Administrative Director for a non-profit health care clinic, and have also worked both on a part-time and most recently on a full-time basis as a Registered Financial Consultant in the financial services industry, owning and operating several small businesses along my journey through life. Some successful, some not so much!
Family:
High school “tennis dude” marries Lynn, high school sweetheart (Home Coming Queen, best friend, the love of my life) after graduating from college. Two beautiful God-fearing daughters (Amy & Carrie), with their Heaven-sent husbands (Tim & Jeremy), have blessed us with two awesome grandsons (Dylan & Benjamin) and two fabulous granddaughters (Abby & Saralyn).
Favorite Music:
I love just about all kinds of music, but I’m a “rock & roller” at heart!
Favorite Movies:
“The Patriot”, “Saving Private Ryan”. I’m a strong believer in the need to teach and remind our children and grandchildren of the price others have paid for the freedoms we enjoy in this great experiment called America.
Favorite Books:
“Putting Amazing Back Into Grace” by Michael Horton, and “Visioneering” by Andy Stanley.
