Welcome 101
When you are ready to take the next step at LFC, Welcome 101 is the best way to learn why we do what we do. In this five-week class, led by our pastors and leaders on Sunday evenings from 6-7:45pm, you’ll explore the Christian Faith, find out how to become a Lake Forest Ministry Partner (Member) and connect with others.

Discovery Courses
We aspire to be a community of learners. Our Discovery Courses are offered in the fall and spring and include topics on parenting, finances, justice and digging deeper into the Bible. Find one that helps you discover another step in your journey.
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary Bible Training
Semester Two of the BibleJourney Series Begins January 12 at The Park Church (Beatties Ford Road)
This fall, approximately 60 folks from Lake Forest participated in a semester of seminary-level training on the first books of the Bible from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary at our Huntersville Campus. The next course, “The Mission of the People of God in the Promised Land: Interpreting the Historical and Poetic Books” will be hosted by The Park Church on Beatties Ford Road and is open to everyone at Lake Forest.
Here’s what one participant has to say about the course: “I have really enjoyed this class so much. I have never been able to get through Leviticus and Numbers with this much enthusiasm. Dr Laniak brought so much perspective to these books for me and showed me how to really value their content and teachings. It brought the holiness of God to an entirely new level for me, and I find myself falling face down more and more (figuratively more than literally) as I realize how much more I need to intentionally approach God for forgiveness to be fully in His presence. Looking forward to the next phase!”
By participating in this training, you will deepen your understanding of God’s Word and learn ways to share it with others. Audit the course ($50) or take for credit ($150) and work towards a Bible Certificate. Lake Forest is excited to offer both of these options at a greatly-reduced price. (Note: You will also be asked to purchase texts for the course, which total approx. $60. These are the same texts used for Semester 1 of the course.)
